Online Reputation Management

In today’s online world, reputation management has never been more important. With websites like Yelp, Tripadvisor, Google Places, Reseller Ratings and countless more providing an often anonymous shelter for reviewers, it is easy for negative information to get out about a company or individual, in many cases even if they have done nothing wrong. It is also possible that a company has made mistakes in the past, but is doing their best to improve their image, or has come under new management or ownership, but is still paying the price for mistakes made by previous ownership.

What is online reputation management?

Online reputation management is the process of making sure that when people research a company name or an individual’s name online, that negative information is not the initial information or majority of information that is returned. It is well known, but unfortunate that an unhappy consumer is far more likely to let people know their opinion than a satisfied consumer. We see it as our job to make it as easy as possible for the happy consumers to post their opinion of your company online, and to take steps to encourage them to do that. Through this process you will naturally scale down the significance of any negative information while also most likely pushing it further down in the search results.

What can we do to help?

-Create a system for soliciting positive online reviews and feedback
-Help you understand when it will actually cost you more to fight with a complainer than to simple settle (unfortunately there are some people out there that just look to cause trouble because they either want stuff free, or they are just jerks)
-Take efforts to remove negative information or push negative reviews down the results
-Increase the positive information available online above the individual or company so that the negative information becomes less significant

We realize that it is easy for false information to be spread online, whether it be from a competitor, some “jerk”, or you just made mistakes in the past. We can help. Contact us today to discuss your situation.
